The Situation
Patch Media would like to implement social login and registration to enable users to more easily create and log into their Patch accounts so that they can access their account and engage with their community on Patch.
The Task
A new widget for account creation offered in addition to the current method. Patch users can create new Patch accounts using their Apple, Facebook or Google accounts using auth0. Patch will gain access to the user’s first name, last name, email address and photo, and use that information, along with their selected home community, to create a Patch account for them.
The Action
Research competitor social sign-in flows, ideate sign-in flow that captures Patch business requirements and smoothly integrates into existing product ecosystem, design solutions, release features for testing, and iterate based on user feedback.
