Gabrielle Ivellisse Feliciano has always considered herself to be a connector.
As the first in her family to leave Spanish Harlem and graduate from a private, full-time university, she learned how to connect where she’s been with where she hoped to go.
Along her journey, Gabrielle developed a passion for transforming communities like her own by connecting individuals with critical information and resources that have been historically inaccessible to the underrepresented.
Gabrielle’s belief that prioritizing accessibility and equity creates better products motivates her to empower users through her research and design. Gabrielle’s passion for womanism, social good, and public health on a global scale push her to be a better designer every day.
Constantly striving to lead a life filled with intellectual exploration and creative innovation, Gabrielle has always welcomed a challenge or an opportunity to learn.
Today, Gabrielle delivers hyperlocal news, from neighbor posts to local events, as a part-time Product Design Associate responsible for core, responsive web design features at Patch Media. She is also designing human-centered experiences and furthering her front-end web development skills through alternative educational programs and freelance opportunities. In the past, Gabrielle has served as a community resource advocate for nonprofit health organizations, hospitals, startups, and academic institutions such as Brown University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology as well as her Bachelor of Arts in Health & Human Biology.
